On August 26, 2022, the Ministry of Public Security held an expanded meeting of the Party Committee’s theoretical study center and a national seminar on studying Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law in Beijing. Professor Ma Huaide, President of China University of Political Science and Law, delivered a special lecture.
During the seminar, Ma Huaide provided a comprehensive and accessible explanation focusing on the background and significance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, its core principles, and strategies for implementing it. He highlighted the scientific connotations, spiritual essence, and practical requirements inherent in Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law.
Wang Xiaohong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister of the Ministry of Public Security, emphasized the profound significance of understanding Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law among various levels of public security organs and police officers. He stressed the importance of accurately grasping the scientific connotations, spiritual essence, and practical requirements embedded in Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law. Wang Xiaohong particularly highlighted the strategic thinking and important deployments outlined by General Secretary Xi Jinping’s “Eleven Adherences,” urging the steadfast establishment of ideological foundations rooted in loyalty to the Party, the country, the people, and the law.
Furthermore, Wang emphasized the need to firmly establish socialist rule of law concepts, conscientiously adhere to the law, study the law, and apply the law, ensuring the comprehensive implementation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law across all aspects of public security work. This includes continually enhancing the capability to use legal thinking and methods to safeguard political security, maintain social stability, and ensure public tranquility.
