On the afternoon of March 19, 2022, President Ma Huaide was invited to deliver a special lecture on “Core Principles of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law” at the “Rule of Law Xinjiang Weekend Lecture Hall.” The event was attended by students and faculty from the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Education Bureau, Xinjiang University of Political Science and Law, Shihezi University, Tarim University, Tarim Vocational and Technical College, and Tie Men Guan Vocational and Technical College.

President Ma Huaide pointed out that since the 18th National Congress of the CPC, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has made a series of major decisions and deployments on comprehensively advancing the rule of law in a strategic and comprehensive manner. This has led to historic changes and achievements in China’s socialist legal system construction. General Secretary Xi Jinping has published a series of important statements, profoundly answering key questions regarding comprehensively advancing the rule of law in the new era, forming Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, clarifying the guiding ideology, development path, work layout, and key tasks of comprehensively advancing the rule of law in China, which is the fundamental guideline and action guide for comprehensively advancing the rule of law.

President Ma Huaide focused on three main aspects: the background and significance of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, the core principles of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, and the implementation and promotion of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, emphasizing several key points for promoting the construction of a rule of law China. He emphasized the need to accelerate the training of high-quality legal talents, advance the “Three Ins” work of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law, expedite legislation, especially in key, emerging, and foreign-related areas, strictly enforce the law and ensure impartial justice, and deepen the promotion of legal compliance across society while strengthening legal awareness and consciousness.

Ren Changyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xinjiang University of Political Science and Law, summarized the speech by highlighting President Ma Huaide’s in-depth teachings on the core principles of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law. This further deepened the understanding of the important position of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Rule of Law in the comprehensive rule of law work and highlighted its fundamental role as a guideline and action guide for promoting the rule of law in Xinjiang. The efforts aim to translate theoretical understanding into practical actions and contribute to the construction of socialist rule of law in Xinjiang.

In recent years, the university has attached great importance to aiding Xinjiang, dispatching over 10 teachers to institutions such as Xinjiang University of Political Science and Law, China University of Petroleum (Beijing) Karamay Campus, Xinjiang Normal University, and Yili Normal University to assist in building a high-quality and high-level talent team.
